This Saturday, February 3, 4-7pm will be Fairhaven’s first Art Walk of 2024. Merchants around downtown Fairhaven will be hosting selected Artists who will be on location and displaying their work. The Morgan Block Artist Studios and Galleries will have 6 studios open for this event, PatternArt Studio & Gallery, Nancy Canyon, Ben Mann, Jillene Smith, Nikki Lang, Pippin Christensen.
The above painting is 30″ x 48″ acrylic on canvas, not yet finished, but getting close, so I will be working on this piece during the open studio, come on by and take a peek. I usually don’t like to post unfinished paintings as people tend to focus on the unfinished areas, but this one is close to completion so what the heck. Once its finally finished it will hang in Chuckanut Bay Gallery just down the road on Chuckanut Drive.
Once again the Whatcom Artist Studio is sending out their “Call to Artists”. This will be the Tour’s 30th year so it promises to be an exciting event. The Tour takes place the first two weekends in October.
