Artists tend to spend their studio working lives mostly in solitude; long hours in front of the easel grappling with visual issues to create a dramatic image which will hopefully illicit an emotional response in the viewers. Recently I joined the Puget Sound Group of Norhwest Artists, probably the longest group title in history https://www.psgnwa.org/. I was happy to have three paintings accepted into their biannual art exhibition at Matzke Gallery and thrilled when my painting “Madrona Waves” won honorable mention. The validation of being respected and accepted by your peer group of extraordinary creatives is extremely gratifying. The quality of paintings and sculpture in this show is truly world class, and Karla runs a classy gig at her gallery. If you haven’t been, its a real treat to venture down to the south end of Camano Island and take some time to wander the beautiful grounds with its mix of cedar forest, open lawns and visually pleasing sculpture placements. https://www.matzkefineart.com/ Watch this youtube video produced by my good friend Lanny Little about the Gallery and Sculpture park https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaUQPAjFIsU
The top two paintings of mine were also included in this awesome exhibition and the following images are the other award winning paintings and sculpture from this show.

Loved your work in AdventuresNW magazine alongside the beautiful poetry of Todd Creek. It brought us to your website. Where might we see the paintings in person?
